Every city has its best restaurants. Those from Los Angeles, for example, I already told you in a post here on the site. However, LA cuisine has much more to offer. The city is always opening new restaurants and remodeling old ones, so you will always find somewhere different to eat.
I made a list with some of the restaurants of the moment that are preferred by those who live or visit Los Angeles. They all have a cool and modern style, the way I love it! The selection is very diverse, so I believe it has locations for all tastes 😉
Majordomo was created by the same owner as Momofuko, one of the restaurants I like the most in the world. Anyone who accompanies me knows how much I love Momofuko, so I was super happy to hear that chef David Chang opened a restaurant in Los Angeles.
One of the most interesting things about the place is the turnover of dishes: every day they offer a different menu. The quality of the dishes is reflected in the waiting time to be able to eat there. For this reason, I recommend that you already leave a table reserved, guaranteeing a delicious lunch or dinner. The house noodles will be waiting for you!
Those who love Italian cuisine cannot leave Felix out of the script. The local chef, Evan Funke, specializes in artisanal pasta. All the preparation of the dishes is done with great care so that the customers really feel a little in Italy through the food, you know?
The menu is divided into 4 sections, each with a part of Italy. Among the customers’ favorite dishes are pappardelle with ragout bolognese, foccacias and orecchiette with sausage. The thickness and texture of the dough are perfect, worth a try experimentar
Rossoblu’s industrial decor, with hanging lights and burnt cement walls are already one of the reasons I love the place. The open kitchen, showing all the preparation of the dishes, is another positive point for the setting. Also inspired by Italian cuisine, the place serves delicious pasta and plates full of cheese and cold cuts.
The interesting thing about going to Italian restaurants is that the chance of having vegetarian dishes is huge! In Rossoblu, for example, maltagliati with porcini mushrooms, dandelion leaves and sage is a great option for those who do not eat meat.
Bavel is another space by the same creators of Bestia, one of the best restaurants in the city, as I told you in the other post. Knowing this information, you must imagine how amazing this restaurant is, right? Despite being on the same team, Bavel is very different from Bestia. In this case, the restaurant is focused on Middle Eastern cuisine.
What is not lacking in the restaurant is homos and baba ganoush! If you enjoy this type of food, do not miss the opportunity to eat there. The lamb meat shawarma and the grilled lamb ribs are also always among the best known dishes on site.
Located on Silver Lake, Kettle Blackw is another restaurant on the list focused on Italian cuisine. In this case, the dishes have smaller portions because their idea is that you eat a complete meal in small quantities. That is, start with the salad plate, then go to the appetizer and, finally, order a pasta or a pizza.
The Kettle Black bar is also highly praised, especially the cocktails, which are divided between “house cocktails” and “vintage cocktails”. Ah, they also offer incredible options for brunch. If you ever wake up a little later and want to have breakfast / lunch somewhere, stop by!
Catch LA can be considered one of the most beautiful restaurants on this list. It is located on the rooftop of a building. In addition to the wonderful view, the space is filled with flowers and plants that transform the environment. It is a super romantic space, so if you are traveling as a couple this is a perfect place for special celebrations.
The restaurant, despite being focused on seafood, has a menu created especially for those who are vegetarian or vegan. That way, everyone can enjoy the location. From those who go for the lobster to others who only eat gnocchi with mushrooms. Everything is delicious and prepared with high quality ingredients.
With a charming decor and cuisine focused on seasonal ingredients, Manuela has been winning more and more customers in Los Angeles. Their dishes are super authentic and they always seek simplicity, raising the flavors of common and typical ingredients of the time.
Their food has that taste of home cooking, you know? In addition to the main dishes, such as grilled chicken breast with aioli and caramelized onion, the menus always have a special part for dishes based only on vegetables!
French and Vietnamese cuisine are usually not very closely associated. However, together, they create an explosion of incredible flavors and textures. Thinking about it, the Cassia restaurant united the two gastronomies and became one of the most talked about restaurants in Los Angeles!
Who loves seafood will feel at home. Some of the most requested dishes are the portion of shrimp bathed in an aromatic Vietnamese sauce and the smoked salmon served with fresh salmon roe. The ambience of the place is also beautiful, with an industrial and refined design that combines with the creativity and innovation of the menu.
With a modest decoration and a charming atmosphere, Botanica is known for having lighter and healthier meals. They follow a more plant-based style, so most dishes have vegetables and greens as their main ingredients. Their breakfast menu is incredible. It is a good option for those who want to eat something other than breakfast at the hotel or hostel.
Turkish eggs are among the most praised options for breakfast. The portion comes with poached egg, garlic yogurt, chives, salad and cornmeal foccacia. If you are close to Silver Lake, be sure to stop by!
Kismet follows more or less the same style as Botanica, both in decoration and cuisine. They focus on typical Middle Eastern flavors, using mainly vegetables and greens. Although the dishes seem simple, they still have contrasting and balanced flavors.
Broccoli toast and pita bread served with different seasonings are always among the most requested. I recommend that you also try salads and natural wines, which change daily.
I even got my mouth watering after seeing so many delicious foods! If you know other restaurants that I haven’t talked about here, don’t forget to comment comentar
