10 stores you need to visit in NY

It cannot be denied that the concentration of stores in New York is something that draws a lot of attention. The city even has its high points in addition to shopping, but it is practically impossible not to go into some amazing stores while traveling. You may not even spend it, but you need to give that famous “look” on the pieces, you know?
On this last trip to New York, my preferences were very clear and that’s why I decided to share with you some of the stores that I do not give up visiting in the city. I am warning you that it will be difficult to resist so many pieces of clothing, decoration items, stationery, accessories, technological devices …

Opening ceremony

Clothing and accessories stores exist all over the world, but the Opening Ceremony won my heart with a special curatorship. They sell new, unknown, renowned designer brands … Nothing here is obvious and, for those who enjoy a more Street and casual this is the best place! Even Vans sneaker models have a different twist, you know?
Some brands also create collections in partnership with the store, so you will always find exclusive pieces there.

I believe that everyone who travels to the United States wants to take a look at technological products and B&H is the place for that. This is Paulo’s darling store and I think you know why, right? Cameras, drones, computers, notebooks, video games, cell phones … There is absolutely everything new and amazing in this world. Too worth the visit!

You know I can’t resist a thrift store, right? I love to mine pieces full of personality and history that will definitely make a difference in my wardrobe. Of course, making these “discoveries” in New York is even more fun. At Buffalo, in addition to finding pieces from famous stores for a much cheaper price, you can also find more “basic” items, accessories, shoes … There are really pieces for all tastes and pockets!
Aah, if you like thrift stores too, I already made a post here on the site telling you about my Brooklyn favorites 😉

Barneys is practically an entity in NY. The luxury multi-brand store was born in the city and is really the place that you will go crazy if you like fashion! Although the prices are really higher, I never fail to visit the penultimate floor that always has pieces by new designers. In addition to the slightly lower prices, you end up getting to know new brands and amazing designers.

Stella McCartney

I don’t even know where to start, after all, I like the brand too much. For those who still don’t know, Stella McCartney is an English stylist who does not use any type of animal material in her pieces – something VERY rare when it comes to famous fashion brands. In addition to this differential, I love the design of the clothes and, especially, the bags and shoes.
Despite the modern touch, the vast majority of the brand’s pieces are timeless, but nevertheless basic – quite the contrary.

Well, it is not news to anyone that most of my dishes and kitchen accessories come out of this cute store! At Anthropologie you can find everything from clothes and accessories, to furniture and kitchen utensils. I love the style of the store that is more feminine and delicate. Don’t miss the sale area, which is always worth it!

I love stationery and, in my opinion, the cutest and most incredible items in town are at Paper Source. I confess that nothing is very cheap there, but if you like the subject you will go crazy in every corner of the store. Planners, pens, cards, ribbons, stickers, candles, napkins … I can’t even define my favorite category.

Museum stores are always surprising and my favorite of life is MoMA. Here you will find some of the most “weird” and unusual items in the world, but all very creative and with an incredible design. If only out of curiosity, be sure to visit the store – after a visit to the museum, of course 😉

NikeLab

You may even have found this store “lost” in the selection, but I swear that here you can find much more than sportswear. Everyone knows Nike, but NikeLab is a much more conceptual store that has products you don’t find in “traditional” units. Sneakers, both female and male, are wonderful!

3 × 1

This is where I find the best jeans in life! The 3 × 1 is a store and studio simply a must in the city, after all, in addition to the “ready” models being of very good quality, here it is also possible to create your own jeans. You can choose the washing, the fabric, the cut of the leg, the height of the waist, the “frayed”… Absolutely everything can be personalized – paying a higher price, of course.
I only bought ready-made pieces, but I still recommend them a lot because there are plenty of good options. If you are like me who love a specific model – in my skinny high waisted case – be sure to visit the store. I guarantee that despite your restrictions, you will find dozens of alternatives.

Despite being short, our last trip to the city was very focused on shopping. I recorded a video showing what we found coolest there and that we had to bring home 😉
