It never hurts to be well informed and inside what is happening in the technology area around the world. I don’t know about you, but I have the impression that every day something new appears. Social networks are increasingly innovating their platforms while other forms of innovation and communication are being created.
As much as you are not in this area, it is essential to have an idea of how some of these technologies work. You can be sure that at some point in your life you will need them, however banal it may seem. I will share with you now some of the fairs perfect for those who do not want to miss any launch or need to keep up with all these news 😉
Starting with one of the most incredible events in the world! South By Southwest takes place annually in Texas and brings together music, cinema and technology in one place. It is divided into three parts, you can choose to buy the distinctive for all of them or just for the area that interests you.
Those who enjoy these subjects will love every day of the event. It’s a little tiring, but it’s worth it. In our case, it brought together a little bit of everything we like, so we love the whole experience. If you want to know more about the event, just click here!
Web Summit Lisboa
The Web Summit is one of the fastest growing technology conferences in the last few years, so it deserves to be highlighted. Paulo and I still really want to participate in the event, we ended up not having time to go to it this year.
If you are in Lisbon and like technology, there is still time to guarantee your tickets through the official website. I confess that I think they are very expensive, but it is worth it for those who are in this area and are interested in knowing what is new in this universe.
Like SXSW, MUTEK is ideal for those who want to know about digital innovations related to audiovisual and music. Several artists participate in the event, sharing with the audience what they have developed and the trends in the area, which usually go out of the way.
The first edition took place in Montreal, in 2000. Since then, they have never stopped giving space to people who abuse creativity in the digital world. Nowadays the event also takes place in Mexico, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Dubai, San Francisco and Tokyo!
Although it is not a 100% technology fair, I could not leave VidCon off that list. Anyone who accompanies me on social networks knows that this year Paulo and I participated in the conference and we loved the whole experience. If you are interested in knowing how it went, I left everything safe in the lights from instagram!
The event is legal especially for those who produce content on the internet and want to stay connected to new strategies and what has been produced around the world. Each year they try to cover more areas that involve the digital world, so it is worth investing in admission 😉
Designed for professionals in technology, digital marketing and interested in innovation, DMEXCO has attracted more and more people. It emerged in 2009, but it already has a well-consolidated structure and prepared to receive guests from different parts of the world.
The fair has seminars, debates, exhibitions and several other formats that present innovations within the business and digital marketing to the public. It is very inspiring and will leave you full of ideas after the event!
Social Media Week (London)
If you are like me, who always has his head thinking at a thousand and an hour and always connected on social networks, you can now put Social Media Week on your Wishlist. The event takes place in different parts of the world and this year there was even an edition in São Paulo.
However, I will talk about London since we are focusing on fairs in other countries. There, the conference lasts three days and all the participants end up even getting tired trying to follow all the interesting panels and workshops.
More facing beginners, 4YFN is ideal for those who are looking to meet other companies, create some ties and return from the event full of contacts and ideas. If you want to invest in any of the small companies that will be part of the event, just become a member of the program. Of course, it is necessary to meet some criteria, so be sincere in all answers, okay? All the projects presented there are super innovative and different.
Held in Poland, the Wolves Summit is another conference dedicated especially to startups and investors. One of the main objectives of this event, in addition to promoting the meeting of companies and investors, is to show new technologies with the potential to make a difference within the market.
As their focus is not just on communication, more people may be interested in the fair. It is far from Brazil, so this alternative is more viable for those who already live in that region or intend to travel there at the same time as the event 🙂
One of the largest specialized technology fairs in the world is CES (Consumer Technology Association). If you are passionate about this area, this event is made especially for you! Everything new and modern is launched or demonstrated at this fair, which has over 3,900 exhibitors. There is creativity, right?
Everything there revolves around technology, so it is a paradise for those who enjoy this type of thing. Many large companies go to the fair just to see everything that has been produced and choose what can be implemented in the corporate day-to-day. It is very incredible!
For those interested in entrepreneurship, innovation and technology, TechCrunch is a dream. In addition to being a stage for beginners show what they’ve created, they’ve also shown ways to renew digital content and announce new forms of production. As the event has several technology areas, I find it interesting that you take a look at the website to learn more about the fair and what you will find there.
With so much information being generated at the same time, it is interesting to see how these places manage to gather at least part of them in an event, right? My favorite on the list is, without a doubt, SXSW! Which one of you?
