Trips are always unforgettable. Even memories of wrenches become fun and are fondly remembered. Because it is such a special experience, most couples make the dream trip during their honeymoon. In addition to celebrating the union, the newlyweds take the opportunity to rest and enjoy each other’s company.
For everything to happen in the best possible way, it is necessary to plan the itinerary carefully and choose the location according to the couple’s preference. I know that deciding what the destination will be is one of the most difficult stages, so I will give you a little help. I selected 12 incredible travel options that are sure to yield wonderful memories ❤
One of the most charming places in Portugal is, without a doubt, the Douro Valley. The landscape is charming and the local cuisine makes everything even better. Couples who love a good wine can take the opportunity to learn a little more about the traditional Port wine and try other varieties of the drink. The region has incredible hotels – most of them with perfect swimming pools to relax a lot.
Couples who prefer excitement and busier cities can put cities like Lisbon and Porto, which are full of attractions, on the itinerary. Those who prefer beaches and walks linked to nature also find alternatives around the country. The entire Algarve region is a must do, with beaches and surreal landscapes.
Who has heard of Menorca? Located in the Balearic archipelago of Spain, the island is still little known by Brazilians. What I like most about this place is that the island is small, super charming and with a great structure for tourists. Like any place, it gets more crowded in July and August. So try to get away from those dates a bit.
Enjoy your honeymoon to take a super romantic boat trip and relax a lot. For couples who enjoy physical activity, it is worth taking a chance on doing stand up, wind surfing and kayaking. That way the trip will be even more fun!
Impossible to talk about honeymoon without mentioning Greece, right? Some destinations are quite expensive (and luxurious), like Athens and Santorini. So, if you want to go to the country without spending so much, avoid these cities.
The beaches are incredible and anyone who loves history will be enchanted with the local culture. If the couple plans to enjoy the outdoors and enjoy the beach a lot, avoid going between October and April, because these are the rainiest months!
Do you prefer a national destination for your honeymoon? So, think about the possibility of going to Boipeba! Although the accommodations there are somewhat rustic, this is the ideal destination for those who dream of empty places and breathtaking landscapes.
Keep in mind that this is a trip with little less comfort, especially when compared to places like Natal that have larger hotels and luxurious resorts. It is perfect for those who want to disconnect a little from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy the time to relax.
Another paradisiacal and incredible destination to spend the honeymoon is the Seychelles. It’s like you’re going to a place where tropical fairy tales exist. The place is very close to the African continent and was once a destination even for royalty – Prince William and Kate decided to enjoy the life of newlyweds there.
If you do a little research on the destination, you can be sure that it will go to your Wishlist travel! Praslin Island, for example, is one of the most incredible and is the second largest on the archipelago. Those who love seafood will also enjoy the ride to eat a lot.
I don’t need to talk much about how romantic France is, do I? Paulo and I lived there for a while and we are passionate about the country. Paris is, of course, a cliché destination. However, it is that type of trip that is worth taking. The city is a box of surprises and you always end up finding special places. Just want to go beyond the traditional tourist spots!
Another part of France that is great for couples is Provence. The region is in the southern part of France and is ideal for those who love road trips. Some of the cities that cannot be left out of your itinerary are Valbonne, Saint-Paul-de-Vence and Airles. If you want to see our complete itinerary

Tranquility, turquoise sea and lots of sun. So it is a trip to the long-awaited Maldives. The archipelago has more than a thousand islands (yes, all of it!), And is sought after by couples who like not only beaches but also resorts.
If this is the couple’s dream destination, try to book the trip for months other than between April and October. Water sports are also super common there, so take the opportunity 😉
Like France, Italy is always among the most popular destinations for honeymooners. In my view, Rome is one of the most desired cities, mainly because it is the dream of many people out there.
The local cuisine is wonderful and it is even difficult to say goodbye to the place when the end of the trip arrives. If you are looking for a tour around the region, just take a look here. Enjoy that the site is full of tips about the city and write them all down!
I understand that Capri also belongs to Italy, but I needed to create a specific topic to talk about this amazing place. The island is usually very busy, so avoid high season seasons, such as July and August. And it is not for nothing that the place receives so many tourists: the region is wonderful, the kind that makes you think you are in paradise.
If the couple wants to take a long trip and enjoy other places, it is also worth visiting the Amalfi Coast. The blue sea and natural landscapes are beautiful – the perfect setting for a couple in love. Be sure to visit Positano and Amalfi if you plan to make that trip 😉
Another option for the long-dreamed honeymoon in a paradisiacal place. Bora Bora is in French Polynesia and is one of the best known islands in the archipelago. The destination is beautiful and super charming, with bangalos by the sea and beaches with a very calm sea.
Sailboats and yachts can be rented throughout the region, perfect for a very romantic outing. Overall, this is a travel style much like Menorca in Spain!
Incredible weather and calm sea are some of the attractions of the Fiji Islands. The beaches are paradisiacal and the color of the water is surreal. You will hardly see a sea as beautiful as that of this region.
As it is not very busy and has sun for much of the year, this ends up being one of the most popular destinations for honeymooners. Oh, and best of all, you will feel at home there, because the locals are usually very friendly.
To the more adventurous couples I suggest
an unforgettable road trip through Iceland! Paulo and I know several corners of the country and we love every place we visit. Obviously it is a cold destination and, depending on the place, with little comfort. But in the end, the effort is worth it.
It is worth mentioning that this is an expensive country and you will need to pay good money to be able to make a good trip. However, as I already told you, I don’t regret it one bit. It was certainly one of the tours that we most love to do. For those who feel like taking a route similar to ours, click here 🙂
I imagine you must be full of ideas now, right? I promise that once you choose your final destination, everything is easier!
