How about planning a summer trip in the south of the country? I’m sure that those who already know the Santa Catarina coast know that the region has beautiful beaches. The state has options that appeal to all types of tourists!

Parties, ballads, water sports, trails, nature… You can find everything in Santa Catarina. To help you choose the best destination, I made a selection with some amazing cities and regions 😉

Think of cities that suit any type of person? Florianópolis is definitely on that list! In summer, the Jurere Beach pump a lot and can be the ideal place for those who want to enjoy a lot of parties and don’t care much for the crowded sand. Another popular option in the city is the Praia Mole.
Now, if you are more like me and Paulo, places a little further from the crowd and surrounded by nature are the best options – and Florianópolis can also be your place! THE Lagoinha do Leste, for example, is a Santa Catarina paradise. You can get there by boat or crossing a beautiful trail that, despite being heavy, is rewarding.
Another stunning option in the capital is the Campeche Island. Although you need a guide to do the trails there, the place is great for those who want to enjoy the scenery and rest away from the hustle and bustle. The water is crystal clear and is the perfect place for diving. Don’t forget to take your snack (and bag to put the garbage in), because there is not much infrastructure there yet – which can be a positive point if you think about it.
A slightly quieter and cleaner alternative is to Joaquina Beach, also known as Joaca. The place is beautiful, attracts many surfers because of the waves, but it also has beautiful rocks and dunes – the landscape will really surprise you!

The city of Bombinhas also reserves good surprises! In addition to the Bombinhas Beach, an Quatro Ilhas Beach it is a mandatory stop for those looking for parties and a lot of surfing.
Looking for a more family outing? THE Lagoinha is an excellent option! The sea over there is calmer and you can even enjoy and go snorkeling. Another good alternative is to Sepultura Beach, saw? The beach is not even 1 km long and the sea is calm.
Last, but not least, the Tainha Beach it’s great for those who are looking for more peace and quiet on vacation 😉
Porto Belo Island

Porto Belo Island is tiny and has only 3 beaches: the Sugar Mill, an Central it’s at little beach. From December to March it is possible to visit the island from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm and access is only by boat – don’t worry, it’s only 10 minutes until you arrive on land.
In addition to snorkeling and resting in the white sands, there you can make an ecological trail guided by 15 reais (whole).
Photo – Hospedaria das Brisas (Praia do Rosa)
AN Praia do Rosa it is definitely the best known in the region and it is not for less: the place is very beautiful and has a lot of infrastructure. The sea is more agitated and is therefore sought after by surfers all year round.
For those who love dunes, islands and lagoons there is an excellent option in Imbituba, the Barra de Ibiraquera Beach. In addition to sandboarding, there it is very common to see people practicing kite and windsurfing in Lagoa, one of the must-see spots in the region.

Lots of infrastructure and many young people around Balneário Camboriú, but the region offers options for various styles of travel. THE Central Beach and from Laranjeiras they are definitely the busiest and with the best restaurants close by – the second is a little quieter.
So, which of these destinations did your head most?
