Kangaroo rides

As many of you already know, Paulo and I took a trip through Carretera Austral (south of the country) at the end of last year and it was one of the most incredible experiences of our lives. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to get to know many parts of the country and several wonderful tours ended up not happening.
I know that a lot of people also can’t spend a whole month traveling and that’s why I decided to do a top 5 tours in Chile for all styles of tourists. You will definitely identify with one (or more) of them 😉

Santiago de Chile – Cultural tours

I couldn’t start this post without mentioning the Chilean capital. Santiago is a super charming city, especially in winter. Regardless of the tour you choose to take in the country, your first stop will probably be here.
In addition to museums, palaces, squares, parks and incredible restaurants, Santiago is a great option for those who will be traveling for a few days. In addition to tours within the city, the surrounding area is full of attractions – wineries and ski resorts are a must!
For those who like incredible landscapes and do not miss the opportunity to go to a lookout, it is very worthwhile to visit Cerro Santa Lucia and Cerro San Cristóbal.

Valle Nevado – Ski

Want to see snow? Valle Nevado is one of the most interesting options in South America. In addition to being close to the capital (50 km), the region has great infrastructure and, of course, a breathtaking landscape.
In addition to skiing and skiing up and down, you will be in the Andes Mountains and the view from there is indescribable. This is one of those tours that appeals to a large group of friends or the whole family, there is no way not to like it.

Wineries – Romantic Tours

It is nothing new that wineries are big attractions in Chile. Many of them are very close to Santiago, in the Valle del Maipo region, and are excellent options for those who are going to stay a few days in the country, but do not give up a beautiful romantic walk 😉 The most famous is Viña Concha y Toro.
Now, if you intend to take a tour of Chilean wineries, you can prepare to run a lot. In addition to the Maipo Valley, there are great alternatives in the north (Valle de Aconcagua), south (Valle de Colchágua) and east (Valle de Casablanca) – the latter is very close to the cities of Viña del Mar and Valparaíso.

Atacama Desert – Adventure

The Atacama desert is one of the places I most want to visit. In addition to being one of the largest and most arid deserts in the world, the place has surreal landscapes. There you will find volcanoes, geysers, lagoons, mountains, valleys and even the Flamingos National Reserve! Can you believe?

The visit to the desert can last for many, many days, after all, there is no shortage of tour options. For the more adventurous, there are dozens of heavy trails and mountains to climb. For those who are more at ease, how about a relaxing walk through the Puritama Spa or an Astronomical Tour at night?

Carretera Austral – Road Trip

Getting the car and getting to know the Carretera Austral from end to end is surreal. For those who don’t know, the carretera is a road in the Chilean Patagonia that starts in Puerto Montt and ends at Villa O’Higgins. On the road, you pass through the most different places: parks, hot springs and, in the end, even glaciers. This road trip is really for those who enjoy adventure and are prepared to spend some hard times, but in the end they are worth it, haha 😉
As not all vlogs went up on the channel (we lost a lot of material), I made posts here on the blog with some tips. A very important point is to pack a very functional and complete suitcase, because on this trip you will be very hot, very cold, will get a lot of rain… In other words, be prepared for everything!
