Haven’t decided where to travel this January vacation? The beaches on the coast of São Paulo are a great alternative! For those who already live in the state, exploring new places is always a good thing. If you live in another region, the trip can be even more incredible and different, especially if this is your first time in SP.
Now, I’m going to share with you six incredible suggestions of places along the coast of São Paulo. Some of them are more deserted than others, so choose your destination according to the type of tour you prefer to do.
Located in Ilhabela, Praia do Bonete is the perfect combination of trail and sea. The walk usually takes between 3 and 5 hours, so go well prepared and stay hydrated to face the path.
It is also possible to get there by boat, but I only recommend this option for those who cannot physically do the trail. After all, much of the adventure is in the walk and also in the final joy of arriving in this paradise.
Another incredible beach in Ilhabela is that of Feiticeira. She is one of the most famous, but she is still not very busy. It can be accessed through a very short and low difficulty trail.
Her entrance is marked by a large colonial-style house, very close to an artificial waterfall. Take some snacks and water to consume on the beach, because there is no restaurant or kiosk on it. Oh, and remember to collect all the trash to preserve the natural beauty of the place 😉
Taking advantage of the fact that we are talking a lot about Ilhabela to indicate another stopping point in this region: Castelhanos! It is usually more crowded, so give preference to visit it in the morning. This way you avoid large crowds and get more out of the place.
The only problem with this beach is that you will need a 4 × 4 car. Otherwise, the best way to get there is by boat. The road is a little complicated and ordinary cars end up having a huge difficulty during the journey.
One of the main characteristics of this beach is the pebbles that cover the sand! It has a wilder beauty and is surrounded by denser vegetation. In other words, it is the perfect place for people who enjoy more deserted beaches.
The trail to it leaves from Praia do Bonete, and it usually lasts about 50 minutes. Those who enjoy trying typical dishes can try the caiçara anchovy, which is made from banana leaves!
Ilha das Couves attracts tourists from all parts of the country, so give this amazing place a chance. Fortunately, this region is very well preserved and has almost no human interference. For this reason, it provides a true contact with nature.
The way to it is made by boat, leaving from Pincinguaba beach. Take advantage of the boat trip to make arrangements with someone around you. Usually it is the fishermen in the region who offer this route!
Some say that Cedro Beach is one of the most beautiful on the north coast of São Paulo, so don’t miss the opportunity to visit it. The sea has that wonderful blue-green color and the waters are usually calm. To reach it, it is necessary to make a trail of about 40 minutes. I promise that all the effort is worth it in the end!
