Can you not fall in love with Rio de Janeiro? It doesn’t matter if you are a tourist or a Carioca, the wonderful city landscape will delight anyone. Beaches, mountains, lagoons … Rio is a sight to behold, especially when we talk about nature.
To appreciate this city even more, why not see it from above? Paulo and I love viewpoints and, if you’re like us, Rio is the place to be dazzled. We have selected 9 mandatory stopping points for those who love incredible landscapes 😉

I know it is a beautiful cliché, but how to go to Rio and not know one of the Seven New Wonders of the World? More than taking pictures with Christ the Redeemer, you will go crazy with the view from up there.
To get there, it is worth taking a look at the authorized vans that pass through points of the city and the train that goes up to the Christ (more information here).

How can you not know the famous cable car of the Sugarloaf Mountain? Of course not! On the website you can buy tickets in advance 😉 The view of the coast is simply breathtaking. Want another tip? Try to go early in the day and enjoy the “low” season.
MORRO TWO BROTHERS
Foto – I also have a blog
Landscape to the south of the city and one of the most beautiful places in the region. Access to the hill is via a trail that leaves the Vidigal community, but the route is peaceful and very, very beautiful. Find out more here.

We say that access to Morro Dois Irmãos is through this community, but there it is already possible to have a spectacular view of the city. Vidigal is also well known for its night parties and for some bars that offer the typical feijoada and a lot of samba – one of the most famous is the Bar da Laje.

Want a beautiful view and a little more adrenaline to get to the top? The Pedra da Gávea is the place! The trail is much more intense than that of Morro Dois Irmãos, but it is worth the effort. Only go to the top if you have experience or a guide, seriously. In the beginning you may even find it peaceful, but when you get to the so-called “Carrasqueira” the care must be doubled!

Do you want an easier option and more or less with the same landscape as the Gavea stone? This is an excellent alternative 😉
In addition to the beautiful view and the lighter trail, it is from Pedra Bonita that the delta wings come out. Are you going to venture? More info here.

Not in the mood for trails? Perhaps the best option in the city is Vista Chinesa – we even have a vlog over there 😉 You can amend a tour of the Botanical Gardens – it’s only 10 minutes by car.
PARK OF RUINS
Photo – This, that and such
The neighborhood of Santa Teresa is one of the most famous spots in the city and is not for nothing. In addition to the bars and cultural centers, Parque das Ruínas offers a beautiful view of Rio.
MIRANTE DONA MARTA

To close the list with a golden key, a classic! From Mirante Dona Marta you can see the main postcards of Rio de Janeiro: Guanabara Bay, Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and even Maracanã. I need to say more?
