Organize the wardrobe brings a lot of benefits and improves the quality of life, and for that we have some explanations. You can think of the flow of energies, as proposed by Feng Shui, or even that organized clothes will make your day easier and the time to choose which clothes to wear, after all, everything will be more practical.
Also, as much as organizing the closet is cool, doing it every weekend would become a very boring task, wouldn’t it? With a well-optimized wardrobe, the maintenance frequency will be much more spaced out, believe me. So we prepare 9 amazing tips for organizing your wardrobe, make everything more practical, easy and pleasant for you.
The first step before organizing the wardrobe and making a cleaning and selection what you already have. This helps to free up more space, recycle energy, show what your clothes are and avoid unnecessary purchases. And of course, doing this you can help some people with donations 🙂 We made a super complete post giving lots of tips and the way to do this detachment: click here.
- A tip to let go easier is: when in doubt leave the pieces separated in another location, if you don’t miss them in a few months, donate!
With detachment done and with the wardrobe completely empty it’s time to make a thorough cleaning. For this, in addition to the most common part of dusting and wiping with a damp cloth, there may be some mold, right? For this, it is very advisable to sprinkle a little vinegar and clean with a cloth. Mixing a little water, alcohol and fabric softener will also leave a super tasty smell. Just don’t forget to wait for it to dry before putting the clothes on, okay?
SEPARATE BY CATEGORIES AND COLORS
After everything is completely dry, separate all clothes by categories (which can be many and according to each one, don’t be alarmed): pants, shorts, shorts, t-shirts, shirts, blouses, jackets, underwear, socks … And whatever else is out there and out of your routine.
too separate by colors to help you find the clothes visually. The cool thing is to go always from the darkest color to the lightest color (almost always from black to white) and in the middle insert the colored ones, following a sequence that is logical for you. At the same time that you separate you can, in fact, organize the wardrobe or macaw, but for that, follow the tips that follow.
MAKE IT ALL VISIBLE
When you put it in the closet make everything as visible as possible. That is, do not hide clothes underneath each other. Leave only one per hanger, fold the drawers into smaller sizes and place them next to each other.
That way it is possible to visualize everything you have and not run the risk of leaving a piece unused for a long time. For that tallest part of the wardrobe, leave bags or items that are used infrequently – very heavy boots and jackets, for example.
An essential tip is to use organizers that can be boxes, baskets or dividers in the drawers. They help to make things easier to see and practical to pick up and put back. About the boxes, first of all, it’s nice that they are transparent so we can see what’s inside 🙂
Like boxes they are for small objects that need to be protected from dust, souvenirs and to be left in higher places (and to prevent them from falling when they are removed). At baskets they are almost “substitutes” for the drawers and look good on easily accessible shelves. Just pull and everything will be there. At dividers in the drawers are essential for underwear.
UNIFORMIZE TO THE MAXIMUM
This tip is very valid for aesthetic when organizing the wardrobe, to make everything matching and more beautiful. But also for practical reasons: çequal abides they will all have the same size and height, which prevents clothes from being hidden. Standardized boxes they also optimize space better and fit together.
OCCUPY ALL SPACES
It is a step with two main objectives: really to occupy and use everything you have right in space and no leave a chance for a free area inside the wardrobe is a reason to leave a dropped clothing or object out of place.
USE ANTIMOPHOS AND ANTI MOTHS
We don’t want the clothes to smell or have traces of moths, do we? So is better prevent. The first step is, if they have to, open the wardrobe doors on sunny days to circulate the air.
To the anti-molds there are some homemade recipes, one of which is to put a handful of school chalk scattered around the wardrobe. Place in a flying bag to protect. Do the same with bay leaf or mint to avoid moths.
Finally, repeat the process of organizing the wardrobe a few times a year, whenever you find it necessary, both for a more thorough cleaning and to detach some parts. In places where the climate is variable and quite different during the year, it is worth putting the most used pieces at the time ahead.
