Today I was going to have lunch with Paulo at Tuju, arriving there we found a tasting menu that needed the end of the experience of other tables so that we could start ours. As we had to be at a party at 4:30 pm and arrived at the restaurant around 3:00 pm, it ended up being impossible to eat there.
The restaurant next door, called AK, seemed to be the best option for a quick lunch and certainly did not disappoint.
The atmosphere is super nice and modern, music is super cool and the service is very efficient and fast.
For the starter I ordered a babaganuche that was served with a flatbread and two toasts with zaatar. The paste was very smoked, which I love, and very well seasoned.
For lunch Paulo ordered a meat tartar that also came with the same toast with zaatar and I had a warm salad of leaves, string beans, mushrooms and cheese, which, if I remember correctly, was a goat and came breaded and fried.
Paulo left there licking his lips with his tartar. I missed a little more sustenance in my salad, maybe not just a cheese ball, but three would make a big difference. Overall I loved the salad and the service and would definitely return to try other dishes.
