If I could give a ctrlc + ctrlv in the little house of Bistro Ó-Chá, I would. Just entering there you already feel an atmosphere of peace, a very Zen harmony, linked to the decoration with an Indian face and the smell of tea.
Best of all, you really feel at home. It is a delight to spend some time talking, reading, or just taking a break from the rush of the city, both indoors and outdoors.
This was another visit I made with my mother. As soon as the bistro opened, we were already there to try the breakfast kits offered. There are three price options: 24, 30 and 36 reais.
Since we were going to share the kit, we ordered the bigger one, which was too big for one person, but served two people well. It came with toast, croissant, muffin, egg à la coque, butter, jam, yogurt with pollen and you could even choose a juice option and between coffee, cappuccino, tea or chocolate.
Among the juices, we ordered apple with ginger, which is very well defined by two words: refreshing and tasty. Such a simple recipe, but theirs seemed much better than I could make at home.
And of course we chose a tea to accompany. To choose the flavor, they brought us a book explaining more than 60 teas! You have to be patient to read them all. We chose a black tea, with apple and pepper.
The tea kit was cute. The taste is surprising. You can taste the pepper right at the very end, after you swallow it, and even in the heat, it was good to wake up the body.
The breakfast came beautiful! In a cute and well harmonized basket.
Everything was impeccable. The toast was made entirely of bread, which went perfectly with the egg. The croissants came warm, to the point of melting the butter, and the jam came in two flavor options: apricot and raspberry. The yogurt appeared to be Greek, very creamy. But the champion was the muffin. Warm, tasty, with just the right pieces of nuts. Wonderful!
Even with the sweet muffin, we decided to order another cake to complete the breakfast. We ended up opting for a simple option, but it surprised us. How can a chocolate cake miss you like that? It also came warm, sprinkled, with fluffy dough and not at all nauseating coverage.
The passion that the house has for teas is very visible. It seems obvious, but only with so much love and affection, you can do something simple, be well done and remarkable.
To make everything even more perfect, the bistro has a small store in the back of the house, with all the tea options served on the menu, for sale for you to take home. In addition to cups, kits, teapots, everything to make breakfast / afternoon even more beautiful.
