I already had my soft gothic phase, I must admit, but even going through these years wearing a lot of black I have to confess that I still love a look all Black! The tone is neutral, it matches practically all my wardrobe and, without further ado, I really like this look more rocker Sometimes.
And after so much time using productions in this style I think I am already able to share some simple tips that make the monochromatic and sober look more interesting. It’s nothing out of this world, but believe me: it makes all the difference 😉
Transparency, leather, lurex, vinyl, sequins … There is really no lack of textures to invest when it comes to fashion. In monochromatic visuals, it is worth betting on the mix to bring more personality to the production. Instead of combining crepe pants with a cotton T-shirt, why not try it on with a velvet blouse? I’m sure the result is more sophisticated and interesting.
And even if you don’t like to mix a lot of textures, unique pieces of a different fabric are also welcome. A shiny dress or a wet velvet jumpsuit are great alternatives to a party look, for example.
BET ON DIFFERENTIATED MODELING
Testing differently designed parts can be awkward at first, but I guarantee you will love the result. Start by experimenting with modeling that you would never choose first in a store – this is always the best place to start. It is only by dressing and testing new proportions that we start to get out of the obvious!
Bet on different necklines, backs, moorings or even lengths that you don’t usually use on a daily basis. With this wave of minimalism, it is increasingly easy to find smooth pieces in flat fabrics with differentiated design. What are you waiting for to test new models, huh?
INVEST IN APPLICATIONS
Instead of more obvious prints, how about going after pieces with applications? Anything goes: from the famous studs to patches and brilliant embroidery! I used to have several plain and basic black T-shirts in the closet myself, but isn’t it better to take it to a reliable seamstress and make applications that go beyond the traditional? I bet yes, it’s worth it!

It is not really difficult to find pieces in this tone, but why not take advantage of the promotions season to buy models for a much lower price? I selected some AMARO pieces that are 80% off – to check more models just click here 😉
