The study was carried out on mice, which have very similar DNA to humans. The US scientists came to the conclusion that 200 g of blueberries per day can reduce the waist circumference. Up to 75 percent of the existing fat cells can be burned.
There is so much power in blueberries
Blueberries are not just any fruit, because they have outstanding ingredients that make them a real superfood. They are rich in vitamins C and E and minerals like magnesium, iron, calcium, and potassium. Blueberries are high in fiber, which has a positive effect on bowel function.
They also contain anthocyanins – a plant compound that helps scavenge free radicals, prevent cancer and slow the skin’s aging process. Blueberries are also said to have anti-inflammatory effects, as well as good cell protection and the strengthening of the cardiovascular system.
Blueberries make you beautiful!
The season for the small, dark blue berries is between July and September. During this time you should grab a lot, because blueberries not only taste irresistibly good, they are also a real fountain of youth.
Here’s how you can lose weight with blueberries
So-called polyphenols are present in blueberries. These stimulate the genes that are responsible for fat burning and sugar breakdown.
But that’s not all. Fruits are usually high in fructose or glucose. These increase the insulin level and the desire for sweets. Blueberries, on the other hand, contain little fructose and are particularly low in calories. Losing weight with blueberries is easier than you thought.
