As many of you already know, Paulo and I love the center of São Paulo and it is not for nothing that we have lived there for a long time. Although some super-traditional restaurants are already well established in the region, for some years now the center has been “revitalized” and several restaurants have arrived there, as was the case with Z Deli now in December.
Another novelty here close to home and glued to Copan is the Orfeu restaurant, the new home of the Chez group. The place has already attracted our attention for its decoration, after all, although small, the place is very cozy and has a footprint that mixes industrial style with more rustic pieces, such as the seashell curtain.
However, what surprised us the most was a very Brazilian and very complete menu. Like the other restaurants in the chain, the menu is signed by Raphael Cesana. And look, there is a bit of everything: from snacks to snacks along with good drinks to very well served and typically Bahian dishes. Want to know the best part? There are vegetarian options that come out of the classic salads!
Anyone who is a vegetarian knows how difficult it is to find dishes in non-specialized restaurants. Almost always has a salad or, at most, a mushroom risotto. At Orpheus, in addition to the salad option, they also have hamburgers and two vegetarian baião. Of course, I couldn’t resist and asked for the third option.
The dish was very well seasoned, wet, with a delicious rennet cheese on top and a perfect egg to finish. How good it is to find options like that, right? I never imagined a baião of two of these and, look, until you are not a vegetarian you will love it!
Paulo, on the other hand, couldn’t resist the ribs that he cooks for no less than 16 hours and comes straight from the grill to the table. The meat was falling apart… To go with it, he opted for rice and farofa, which were also delicious!
The drinks are also very tasty, see? I ordered a delicious pineapple caipirinha with ginger and lemon! As I said, the menu is very eclectic and you can go for a more relaxed lunch as well as the night to enjoy the bar more vibe 😉
