For Those Who Love Nature: Jalapão State Park

For Those Who Love Nature: Jalapão State Park

Have you heard of Jalapão? Dunes, rock formations, waterfalls, small beaches, hot springs… These are just some of the attractions of the Jalapão State Park, in Tocantins.
A trip to the park is ideal for those who, like me and Paulo, love to escape more traditional routes. Besides, I don’t even have to say that natural landscapes are breathtaking, right?

The region in eastern Tocantins is one of the least explored in the country and this makes visiting this place even more special. Limited access and a lack of infrastructure help to keep the park very well preserved.
It is worth mentioning that, as it does not have a good sign, it is recommended to visit the region with a private guide or closing a package at some agency. Renting a 4 × 4 car is also a very important point to avoid passing through the countryside.

This is the perfect type of trip for those who want greater contact with nature and do not mind spending a few days away from their cell phones, after all, you can already imagine that the signal is not the best. But tell me: who needs Instagram and Facebook with landscapes like this?

Well, I think it’s already clear that fate has entered our Wishlist! Want more reasons to be enchanted by the park? I will list some of the main attractions in the region:

BOILERS

You may even find that the boilers are nothing more than small natural pools. Well, I already love natural pools, but in Jalapão everything is even more interesting. In addition to the contrast of this “small oasis” with the arid landscape, the water from the boilers springs with such force that it is impossible to reach the bottom or not to float.
The most famous fountain in the region is Fervedouro do Ceiça, but most guided tours include tours by many others such as Bela Vista. Just for the record, there are more than 100 wonders of this in the region 😉

WATERFALLS

I am also a person in love with waterfalls – in fact, is there someone who is not? The Park is full of them and the best known is Cachoeira do Formiga. Just by the photos you can already dream of a dive there!

HOLED STONE

Can you believe that this hole in the stone was caused simply by the wind? I really can’t think of a more amazing landscape to watch the sunset!

I’ll stop the post here if it won’t be huge, haha! But tell me if it is possible to see so much beauty and not want to teleport to that place now? As this was not yet possible, I decided to share my wish with you!
