Green smoothies are the health trend par excellence. Not only are they incredibly tasty, but they’re also full of healthy nutrients, vitamins, and minerals.
For 500 ml:
- 1 handful of young nettle leaves
- 100 g strawberries
- 300 ml spring water
- 1 high-performance mixer / powerful food processor
Preparation is very simple:
First of all, crush the nettle leaves in your blender until they form a paste. With a normal food processor, this process can take a few minutes. As you do this, always make sure to scrape the pulp off the sides of the blender bowl so that everything is ground evenly. Then add the strawberries and continue mixing happily. Finally, pour the mixture with spring water. A healthy breakfast or an ideal snack between meals is ready.
This recipe is an absolute basic recipe. Let your imagination run wild and, for example, replace the nettle with other wild herbs or leafy vegetables such as spinach or turnip greens. When it comes to fruit, you are not limited to strawberries either, because you can also use citrus fruits or other seasonal delicacies as you wish!
