The last edition of the “50 Best in the World”, organized annually by the British magazine Restaurant Magazine, announced last week who was chosen the best female chef in the world. And, to our pride, they were very local people, very Brazilian.
Maní, classified as one of the best restaurants in Latin America – and one of the 50 best in the world – now has a double crown. Helena Rizzo, the chef who runs the São Paulo restaurant together with her husband (also a chef), Daniel Redondo, won the Veuve Clicquot award for Best Female Chef in the World. Great surprise, of course, but anyone who has heard of Helena Rizzo knew that the chef from Porto Alegre already dominated the post of Best Chef in Latin America since last year. Just success!
The official party, in which the awards will be given to great chefs and the list of the 50 best restaurants in the world will be released, will take place on April 28, in London.
Helena, you have our congratulations. ICKFD wishes you a sweet life and always, full of delicious surprises.
