Instagram: art in food or food in art?

Malaysian architect and artist Hong Yi is famous on Instagram. He likes to paint, but not with a brush. The working tools of the past few weeks have been mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, cherry tomatoes … So on.
The “31 days of Creativity in March” project, by Red-last name that she chose for herself; the pronunciation of “Hong” in Mandarin looks like “red” – it’s taking pictures with food for Instagram. Unlike the thousands of daily pictures of dishes that you, me and a lot of other people take, Red Hong Yi makes white dishes a canvas. And an exercise for creativity!
There are already 26 photos published on the artist’s Instagram and the game (I wish I could play like that) runs until April 5th. Here are some of the amazing photos that Red took. It is very worthwhile to check out her work and continue to spy on what will happen again. She already said that another project is coming…
31 days os Creativity in March is not Red’s first invention. In addition to works in architecture, she has an extensive (and very interesting) portfolio, with not-so-unusual raw materials. Since he doesn’t like to paint with a brush, he learned to create with books, tea bags, sunflower seeds and other materials. One of the works is the face of Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of Facebook, “carved” in books; another is Adele’s portrait, made of melted candles. The title, Set Fire to the Rain, was very appropriate.
