Juices are in Fashion!

Juices are in Fashion!

Natural fruit juice is something that has always been part of the daily life of Brazilians. In any restaurant, cafeteria, bar and snack bar that you go to in Brazil, you can have a freshly made natural juice, made with fresh fruits. But of course, not only with fruits, but with carrots, beets, cabbage, parsley, whatever the imagination demands! They are juices to cleanse the organism, to give energy, the sky is the limit. In fact, this is not new to us.
Now worldwide, mainly in the USA and Europe, juices are becoming a real craze! Even Starbucks, which previously sold those 1/4 bottles of wine (a glass), decided to join fashion and sell juices in its newest Juice Bar, Evolution Fresh!

True juice experts are emerging out there like chef Alain Milliat from Paris, who besides his restaurant he has a boutique in which he sells special fruit juices and nectars.

There are also companies specializing in juices to detoxify the body, such as Cooler Cleanse (which actress Salma Hayek is a partner), which makes all kinds of juice and is among the public that is on diets to lose weight and that has become fashionable also in corporate world, which are replacing the famous happy hours with alcoholic cocktails for… happy hours with fruit juices.

Another interesting movement is that of companies that make natural juices that they call “cold press” or “raw” juices, which have not undergone any pasteurization, like the Juice Press.

A bottle of these juices in the USA and Europe costs around 5 euros or dollars. Making the conversion, these juices completely leave the reality of the Brazilian, always used to having a good fruit juice for a much more affordable price.
And so? Will this “gourmet juices” fashion take over here and make Brazilians pay dearly, for something we always had? We’ll see, right …
