On this trip to New York, Paulo and I decided to stay outside Manhattan. We chose a neighborhood in Brooklyn, Williamsburg, a very alternative neighborhood in the city.
In addition to great restaurants, amazing stores and great access to downtown NY, the neighborhood surprised us around every corner. Forget those huge buildings that we are used to remember when we talk about New York. In Williamsburg, the buildings are much lower.
Many of them are in bricks with those stairs out. It reminds you of Soho in the past.
The look of the city is very alternative and full of graffiti – including Brazilians, like Kobra! In addition, you can see that they are more countercultural – quite different from what we see on Fifth Avenue.
Licks are also everywhere!
Let’s leave here even more in love with New York!
