Milan Fashion Week: Fendi, Prada, Gucci and other highlights

Now that the official carnival holiday has passed, we can go back to the normal schedule and talk about what’s new in the fashion world. I didn’t even have time to take off the glitter and I was finishing a fashion week in Milan and starting another one in Paris. THE Milan Fashion Week brought the fashion shows of the brands that we most hear about: Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and so on!
Many fringes, layers of tulle, volumes and some trends, which had already appeared in other Fashion Week’s, were the highlights of this fashion week in Italy. Check below each one of them and we will use all these inspirations to make this chill that is arriving very stylish and full of references.

Milan Fashion Week at Fendi

Silvia Fendi is one of the few prominent women designers in Milan Fashion Week fashion. And that makes her celebrate the vision of a provocative and restrained woman, and at the same time, but also elegant and strong. Thus, the looks are super versatile and can be used for parties or meetings.

The brand bet a lot on volumes, especially with puffed sleeves – yes they are back – and it is not just blouses like we are used to: they are dresses, tailoring coats, skirts … Everything with a lot of volume.

The mix of fabrics and transparencies are also featured, and I, of course, chose this little black dress with several layers that I love. There is a video on IGTV with only black looks that I use this proposal a lot. Watch it here!

Prada

Another very successful designer in this universe is Miuccia Prada, who brings the concept to the collection saying that “we can be strong and feminine at the same time”.

For this, Prada traded its diamonds and precious jewels for fringes and a lot of transparency – the cliché of femininity. And mixing this with pieces typically considered masculine.

I loved the basketball style too, let’s put the shirts to play and be happy.

Gucci

Gucci, once again, performed the parade as if it were a ritual at Milan Fashion Week – and why wouldn’t it be? Alessandro Michele, the designer of the collection, showed the end of production of the models in the public eye. Here, what caught a lot was the models’ smudged mascara, are we going?

The costumes were vintage inspirations from the street, but in a very luxurious way that reminds a lot of Victorian times.

I’ll tell you, it hit a sadness when looking at this parade. After all, the models bring a very fallen expression – it must be to match this gothic style of looks.

Dolce & Gabbana

The entire collection was designed to honor fashion artisans and to value manual work. Therefore, a lot of knitting, textures and delicately produced clothes.

But it doesn’t stop there, the brand dares to combine production that seems heavier and hotter with other sexy and daring pieces. Have you ever imagined wearing such a coat with lingerie?

And these applications with transparency? I just loved it, after all, it’s not because it’s cold that we need to hide all the skin 🙂

Moschino’s very unusual inspiration was in the French Revolution and Marie Antoinette, and so Jeremy Scott brought a lot of extravagance to the catwalk, whether in sculptural hairstyles or in exaggeratedly large silhouettes. Have you thought about dressing up cake?

But, the baguette bag is there to show that it’s not all that strange. Let’s try to see what’s in trend without thinking about a cake. The structured volumes of the skirts are not bad, you can think that it doesn’t have to be all glued together and dare in these formats.

The colors are beautiful, let’s match! It’s amazing how it is possible to bring so many colors together and become something so beautiful 🙂

Versace

On a track split in half, with a led screen reflected to the audience, Donatella Versace brought up hyper-femininity and hyper-masculinity as a theme. For this, he exaggerated the volumes of the shoulders and hips and left everything very well wrapped.

The highlight is that the parade brought men and women and the clothes were not very different between genders. Not that this is the strong point of the brand, but it painted it very well. The prints brought a different proposal to the show, which is almost entirely black. Have you ever imagined yourself in a zebra suit?

The climax is at the end when the model Kendall Jenner came all metallic !!!

Bottega Veneta at Milan Fashion Week

Bottega is that brand that made the Pouch bag, and of course it would appear in several looks in the collection. But in addition, Daniel Lee, the designer, brought a proposal that is impossible to say no: elegance and comfort at the same time.

For that, knit dresses and even pieces in jersey, to make everything more loose and busy, without prison!

Another point that drew a lot of attention was the colorful wellies. With that rain and cold, nothing is more comfortable than keeping your foot dry. And keep the style: perfect!
