Clothes and decorative items or vintage utensils are always a grace, right? Anyone who has been with me for a while knows that I love this type of piece and I love looking for shops selling vintage products in the cities and countries I visit. Most of them we usually find in thrift stores, but there are still several places that specialize in products that have an older appearance.
As I already told you the best thrift stores and vintage stores in Lisbon, I couldn’t leave Porto out. Both cities have incredible spaces for those who enjoy this type of product, so write down all the tips. For those who want to save money when buying some clothes or souvenirs, the thrift stores on the list are also great!
A very cool and different cultural space in Porto is the Warehouse. It mixes different types of businesses, making the space even more interesting. The part that most interests us for this post is the vintage shop, but they also have a corner for a bar and restaurant and also for some art exhibitions.
In addition to the vintage products that are displayed there daily, the Warehouse also hosts the Flea Market & Vintage. The event takes place every third weekend of every month, maybe you’re not lucky enough to be there at that time, right? The place is interesting even for those who are just curious, it’s a super pleasant walk 🙂
One of the best stores for those who want to put together a complete vintage look is Used Recycled. All the pieces in the store are incredible, some of them are brand new and others of second hand. Each item is chosen by the owners with great care, that’s why UR’s curatorship is so special and differentiated.
The success of the brand made them increase the business, creating their own clothing and full of personality. The cuts of the clothes and the patterns of the prints are super original and stylish. If you want to dress in a unique way and with retro pieces be sure to stop by UR.
To compose a look with the face of the 80’s, go to the Platypus. The store has an excellent curation of both women’s and men’s clothing, something that doesn’t always happen. Most of the pieces are colorful, with very different prints and designs. My favorites are the denim jackets and the very comfortable and warm sweaters.
Her location is wonderful, less than two minutes from Torre dos Clérigos, one of the most interesting tourist spots in the city. Just stop by the store when you’re there. It is worth it both for those who enjoy mining at thrift stores and for those who just want to visit an alternative store there.
Passadopresente is ideal for those who are after vintage books and objects. It gathers pieces from the 20s until the 70s, so you will find a lot of unusual and different things there. Just like Armazém, the visit to this place is interesting even for those who just want to take a look at old objects.
Other very cool pieces there are vinyl records and very old advertising posters. As I already told you, several of these products can be used as decoration items. Just be creative and seek references!
The main differential of the Left Hand is the care with the choice of clothes and accessories that will be sold there, as well as the more neutral environment and with a less messy appearance. The owner of the place, Lígia Souza, wanted to create a thrift store with a very authentic personality and full of personality.
Some pieces are vintage Asian, can you imagine? They are very differentiated pieces, like silk kimonos. In addition to this more peculiar part, there you will also find jackets, longer coats, silk dresses and skirts and other clothes from years past.
PATCH Lifestyle Concept Store
I always look for different stores that have a different concept. PATCH Lifestyle is a concept store and is one of the coolest I’ve found, at least so far. They sell a little of everything, mixing used products with other brand new ones.
Everything has a more rustic or vintage style, both the decorative objects as well as the clothes and accessories. I was enchanted mainly by all the decoration part of them. If you want to take a look, just go to their Facebook page 😉
My vintage dad
Another darling of the flea market lovers in Porto is Mon Père Vintage. Her clothes are all vintage, but the way a lot of people have used them today, you know? Several old pieces are coming back with everything and Mon Père is a great place to find some of them.
The colorful windbreakers, bib and blouses and jackets with fun prints are some of the things sold in the store. You can have a lot of fun trying out new looks, especially if you want to dare a little. In addition, you will have unique and super original pieces.
Sustainability has been increasingly important for our planet. Thinking about it, several stores try to reuse products and give life to pieces that would have been discarded. Coração Alecrim is one of those brands, transforming objects into incredible new products, full of style.
Several products in the store are local and they all follow a line of simplicity, which is the proposal of the creators of this project. The vintage face of everything in the store makes the place even more charming, both the decorative objects as well as the clothes and other accessories related to the home and kitchen.
All the stores on the list are super special and different, right? If you want other tips about Portugal, be sure to stay tuned to the site. I am posting lots of interesting information about Porto and other cities in the country ❤
