Do you know that feeling of getting to the right place at the right time? That’s right, that’s what we felt when entering aMano. We had already read good recommendations from the bar, but it was just stepping in the place, we already came across a beautiful and full bar – just there you can already know that it is good, right?
Paulo and I love to exchange dinner for good snacks and drinks, so aMano was the best option to end our last night in Panama City. There they don’t just serve classic cocktails, everything has that touch of personality.

You may have noticed that we really love to eat and drink in authentic places and that they don’t just replicate the classics. Yes, we also enjoy drinks and traditional dishes, but mainly on trips it is good to try new flavors and, consequently, make new discoveries.
Paulo, as always, took a chance on the order. I will confess to you that he was very apprehensive about this Old-fashioned Oaxaca revisited. Usually this drink is made with whiskey – we even have video on the channel – but in aMano they make it with mezcal tequila. Sugar is also replaced by agave and, look, the result is surprisingly delicious and light.
I already went to Korean Sour Momma which, unlike all the other places where I have taken Sour, does not take eggs in preparation. It is made with whiskey, syrup, lemon and ginger. It is strong, intense and, of course, wonderful! This combination is one of those that heals even the butt, hahah 😉

As for snacks, I enjoyed the three vegetarian options! In fact, one of the strengths of aMano is the food and that was a great discovery. Usually a place focused on drinks does not have so many delicious foods and, there, even the vegetarian options (which are rare in many bars) were delicious!
The vegetarian nuggets were crispy to the extent! Well, it’s also not difficult to leave breaded vegetables and bad fried, right?

For those who do not give up snacking potatoes, there you can also get out of the classic thin fries. At Wild potatoes they didn’t get the name for nothing: the super spicy sauce was incredible!

To finish this combo of delights, I couldn’t resist the portion of smoked edamames because, yes, I love it! The sauce was lighter than I imagined, which was great because the potatoes already brought the necessary seasoning for the night 😉

To end the last night of vacation in a nice place like this, we couldn’t help but order a dessert – and you know that we only risk the candy when the place is really good, right?
The pecan tart with chocolate and whiskey was warm and the contrast with the vanilla ice cream was perfect to end the day!

For those who got their mouth water just looking at the photos, also take a look at the full vlog that is already on the channel 😉 Aah, the bar is in the San Francisco neighborhood (70 East street) and opens from 5 pm to 12 am Tuesday and fourth; from 5 pm to 1 am Thursday and Friday; and from 12 pm to 1 am on Saturdays.
