The best boutique hotels in Berlin

Berlin may not win you over at first sight, but it’s practically impossible not to be charmed by the city as you know it. In addition to the beautiful scenery, the capital of Germany is full of museums, art galleries, historic buildings and great restaurants.
To enjoy all that the city has to offer, it is important to stay in a comfortable place that is well located, right? I selected the best hotels in the region for you, including two that Paulo and I stayed at. Be sure to take a look at them if you are planning a trip there 😉

The Hotel am Steinplatz (Autograph Collection) was the first place we stayed. Although we spent little time in it, we love the hotel room and service. The decor of both the rooms and the common areas is super modern and elegant.
Another positive point is its location: it is less than a kilometer from one of the city’s best known avenues, Ku’damm, and close to several shops and cafés. It is a good option for those who like to walk around the hotel and stay in a more busy area.

Patrick Hellmann Castle Hotel

If you are looking for accommodation in a quieter area, Patrick Hellmann Schlosshotel is the ideal hotel. Before becoming a lodging, the building was the residence of Walther von Pannwitz, personal advisor to Emperor William II of Germany. Because it is located in a residential neighborhood, there is not much movement of tourists there.
They have different types of rooms, some of which were specially designed by Patrick Hellmann. All rooms have a more refined decor, with elements that make all the difference, such as glass chandeliers and sophisticated fabrics on the bed. They are super comfortable and cozy accommodation!

The Stue

The second hotel that Paulo and I stayed at was Das Stue. The place is just wonderful! The decor is super modern and the atmosphere has a very relaxed air. The service is great and we had no problem with the room or breakfast.
Want another reason to stay there? Inside the hotel is one of the best restaurants in the city, the 5-cinco by Paco Perez. He was even awarded a Michelin star. The food was delicious and surprised us a lot, mainly due to the creativity of the dishes 🙂

Henri Hotel

For those who enjoy places with more classic decor and vintage details, Henri Hotel is a good alternative. The building where the hotel is located is historic, since it was built in 1880. The charm of the construction and the ambience of the rooms is fascinating.
The hotel’s breakfast usually receives a lot of praise, both for the place where it is served and for the variety and quality of the food options. His location is also excellent, close to Kurfürstendamm, a very busy avenue in the city and full of interesting shops, restaurants and bars.

Sir Savigny Hotel Berlin

Another super modern hotel with a cool decor is Sir Savigny. It occupies a 19th century building and, next to it, there are several art galleries and small museums. Those who enjoy this type of tour and like to know very local spaces will love staying in this area of the city.
The hotel’s 44 rooms are divided into 4 different types, all of which follow the same line of decor, with darker tones and pictures with engravings and book leaf applications. Ah, one of the common areas of the hotel forms a small and charming garden. One of the highlights of this part is a huge graffiti of a girl reading that makes the place even more beautiful.
