You already know how much I love landscapes and viewpoints, right? Whenever I travel I look for a place so that Paulo and I can see the sunrise or sunset. There are some places in the world where these events become even more magical, so we almost never miss the opportunity to see a sunset at every city we go to.
On our trip to Spain we met wonderful places. The regions between Mallorca and Menorca are perfect for those who want to see a stunning sunset. As watching the sunrise and sunset on the beaches is something more common, I selected a few different places for you!
Starting with Menorca, my favorite island, one of the best known places there is the Cova d’en Xoroi. The place is a bar that is inside a cave and on top of a very high rock. Needless to say, the view is incredible. The sunset seen from there is wonderful, especially with the sea in the background. The drinks at the bar are not that good, but the visit is a must because of the view.
Another very cool spot to see the sunset is the Cavalry Lighthouse. The color of the sky mixes with the blue of the sea and it’s a visual spectacle, I swear! It is at the top of a rock in a more remote and remote area, so I recommend that you only go there if you are driving. Ah, there is also the Punta Nati Lighthouse. The landscape of this place is surreal and the construction is beautiful.
The first place that I will mention for you is a favorite among tourists. THE Formentor Lighthouse it is a lighthouse still active and the sunset view from there is incredible. In relation to sunrise, the region of Cala Ratjada it is a great region to see it, it is full of interesting stopping points. One of them, for example, is the Capdepera lighthouse.
THE Port of Pollença it is also great for both sunrise and sunset! In addition to these two places, the Canyon Torrent de Pareis it also offers a wonderful view of the sunset, mainly because you will be surrounded by huge and very imposing rock formations.
Anyone who enjoys old buildings cannot miss going to Torre del Verger. The tower itself is already beautiful and looks even more charming in the late afternoon. Last but not least, one of the places that Paulo and I liked the most there! THE Sa Foradada Lookout has a surreal view. The attraction of this area, besides the sunset, is the huge stone with a hole in the middle, contrasting with the turquoise blue of the Mediterranean Sea.
These are some of the most charming places in Mallorca and Menorca. Ah, it is important to remember that these regions have the mildest temperature and an icy wind, so always take a cardigan 😉
