It is nothing new that I am hallucinated by beautiful natural landscapes, right? In this search for incredible places, Paulo and I have already visited some wonderful regions around the world. One such place is definitely the Death Valley and more specifically the Artists Palette. The colorful mountains seem to have been really painted by an artist, but believe me if you want: they are natural. For those who are curious just watch our vlog over there 😉
After our tour, I did a little more research on the subject and discovered that there are many other colorful surreal landscapes around the world – some even more incredible! I decided to share these wonders with you, after all, all these destinations have already entered my Wishlist.
ZHANGYE DANXIA, CHINA
Can you believe this place exists? Just by the pictures I was completely enchanted! The Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park is in northwest China and is well known for its colorful rock formations. The colors are a result of the deposit of sandstone and many other minerals.
FLY RANCH GEYSER, UNITED STATES
Look, for my research Nevada is a good place to find these colorful wonders. This geyser, for example, is little known even by local residents. It was created accidentally at the beginning of the last century when the owners of the property were drilling wells.
Since the 1960s they have been splashing hot water and, over the years, the rock formations have gained unique colors!
VALLEY OF FIRE STATE PARK, UNITED STATES
Also in Nevada, but very close to Las Vegas, the Valley of Fire has lush landscapes. Due to the high presence of red sandstone, it seems that the valley is really on fire, right?
RAINBOW MOUNTAINS, PERU
Who would have thought that so close to us would be one of the most colorful and beautiful natural landscapes in the world? Yes, the Rainbow Mountains also have these incredible tones because of the minerals present in the composition. Almost all Peruvian travel agencies offer tour options there, after all, you can take a tour from Cusco.
PAINTED HILLS, UNITED STATES
The state of Oregon, in the USA, also has breathtaking landscapes – especially when it comes to the eastern region where the Painted Hills are. The name is not for nothing, right? The mountains look really painted! However, the colors are the result of several volcanic eruptions and climate changes that the soil and the relief of the region have undergone over the years.
CERRO DE LOS SIETE COLORES / SERRANÍAS DEL HORNOCAL, ARGENTINA
Another unmissable point here in Latin America, huh? Cerro de los Siete Colores is located in the north of Argentina and is one of the main tourist spots in the region 😉
So, do you already know or are you crazy to visit one of these places? Tell us here in the comments. Oh, and if you have more tips be sure to share 😉
