Tricky mini-cake

This mini-cake that you are seeing there must have been one of the smallest and most time-consuming cakes I have ever made, but it was worth it! I made this cupcake for Paulo’s birthday breakfast (my husband) that year. For this mini cake I used: 3 layers of nut cake and 2 layers of dulce de leche brigadeiro filling, which I inserted in a hollow cake pan and then left in the refrigerator with a weight on top of the last one layer for 2 days, so that it is well pressed. The day before his birthday, I covered it with American paste and decorated it.
And that was my problem, I have no way with American paste, because I don’t like the taste of it, and that’s why I never had much interest in learning how to stir it. But for what I wanted to do, I thought the result was super satisfying 🙂 What about you? Did you find it too?
