The Tubaína bar is the first sustainable certified bar in São Paulo. It is located between Centro and Jardins, at the beginning of Haddock Lobo and fulfills many sustainable actions in order to continue to fit into this pattern. Some of them are: having reused furniture, not buying fish classified as “fish to avoid”, using at least 30% organic and fresh products in meals, using LED lamps that consume less energy and reusing rainwater for purposes that not drinking ones.

The great advantage of the Tubaína Bar is that it is considered a soft drink bar, as it has more than 20 labels of these carbonated delicacies from small producers, mostly from the interior of São Paulo and makes incredible and completely unusual drinks with these drinks.
In addition it is a stronghold of vegans, as much of the menu is designed for this audience.
To start we ordered a pitcher of Cointreau Fizz with passion fruit and pepper juice, which was ultra refreshing. I also ordered a Cointreaupolitan to try and some special soft drinks from the house.

As we were with several friends we asked for some snacks to nibble on, the ones I liked most were the fried rennet cheese with coconut and sweet and sour sauce and the couscous dumpling with super well seasoned chicken.

For lunch we ordered the duck display, which comes very well served, a scramble with chicken and egg that tasted like grandma’s house and a pan meat with tomato and onion served with French bread.

For the best part of the party, dessert, we shared a sweet rice with burnt brown sugar and a bread pudding. The pudding was my favorite along with the strained coffee that I love and that serves an entire table.

And to finish I need to say that this is one of the places that love dogs. Mine went together and as soon as we arrived they put two bowls of water for them to drink. Needless to say, anyone who treats my children well is loved by me, right?

My look that day was a striped knit dress by Emme, a military style jacket that I love passionately and whenever it’s cold I wear Marc Jacobs, my all-time shoe from Tracey Neuls and a cute bag with a face of Kate Spade’s book. Just Perfect for the cold weather.
