I didn’t find it so difficult to find the confectionery materials and ingredients I need for Paris. But this is also due to the fact that I asked my professor Phillipe for a miracle list!
For you who come on tour and want to find some different materials to take to Brazil, or for you who live here, follow the addresses of my favorite stores below (and look, they don’t even sell clothes hehehehe)!

Here you can really find everything: chocolates (Valrhona, Michel Cluizel, Voisin, Weiss, Bonnat, Cacao Barry), 100% cacao, pistachios, walnuts, hazelnuts, glucose, pectin, cornstarch, flours of all kinds, apricot, vanilla from various places, caviar, smoked fish, Mustard Dijon Fallot (the best in every way), beautiful confections for cakes and cupcakes, including gold and silver in various shapes and sizes, and much, much more! Do not be shy when you enter these two small stores stuck together, if anything you are looking for is not within your reach, ask! Because the products are often not displayed, it is a lot for such a small store! Ahhh, if you are just visiting in Paris, I honestly think that this is one of the stores that you can not miss, after all everything here is half the price that anywhere else and many of these little gourmands can give great gifts for you to take to friends and family!

Hediard is certainly my favorite store in Paris. For me I could live inside it and maybe inside one of its unmistakable red pots! This may seem like an exaggeration, but maybe spend an entire afternoon inside, in no hurry to go anywhere and very willing to discover each of the products they have there. This is the store that sells spices, salts, honeys, wines, peppers, jams, foie gras, teas, sweets, take-home foods, small canapés, chocolates, cookies, olive oils, vinegars. Everything you imagine and don’t imagine, from the most diverse parts of the world and everything with the best possible quality. Not to mention that they still have a catering service, deliver at home, produce special gifts for corporations and not to mention the ones they sell there for you to give as gifts! Hediard has 35 stores, so I’m going to put the website here and you can go in and find which store is more convenient for you to buy, but my favorite is the place de la Madeleine, number 21!

A store that has Pierre Gagnaire and Alain Ducasse as regulars and is located in an obscure part of Paris, between the Marais and the less chic part of Republique, cannot be any spice emporium. The most characteristic product here is the famous saffron, bought, packaged and sold by the store since 1809. You can also find, among chocolates and caramels, Himalayan salt, Tahiti vanilla, rosemary sauce, among other rare products. Here you only enter if you ring the bell and it is good to call before you go, as the store only opens four afternoons a week and on Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm.

Chez Izrael is a magical world apart, ruled by a surly and rude king among piles of shelves and products of all kinds and countless places in the world! Located on 10ème, close to the St Paul metro, this magnificent shop sells drinks, liquors and rare sweets, cookies, vegetables, olives, seeds sold in bulk, spices for Indian, Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Spanish food. This is the real Alibaba cave for lovers of exotic products!

My friend El Juju, who likes to play making cocktails in his spare time, gave me this Monin website, which is very interesting. In it You can find sirops, pearls of juices that pop in the mouth, concentrates, juices and many other products for cooking and making drinks. I mainly found the flavors of cooking justice very interesting: grapefruit, rose and ginger; cherry, balsamic vinegar and cayenne pepper; spinach, garlic and mint; raspberry, basil and lemon. Best of all, the site delivers to your home! ?

Following the “friend tip” line, my dear friend Paola Biselli gave me a website, Tahitian-Vanilla, where you buy the best vanilla in the world through the website and they deliver it to your home. In addition to selling the famous vanilla beans, the site also has other products such as: powdered banana and vanilla extract and also has recipes for drinks and foods based on vanilla.
Paola also gave me an amazing store in Paris, called La Grand Épicerie de Paris, where you can find spices from all over the world: wines, gifts, olive oils, foie gras, terrines, preserves and everything else your imagination asks for! The store is a delight and is located at 38, Rue de Sèvres. It’s worth a stop!

This is the craziest and giant store in the world for kitchen supplies that I know. But it’s an organized mess! Everything is found here: knives, pans, molds, sieves and anything that comes to mind. The salespeople are very funny and very attentive – which is rare in Paris. It may take a while, as they serve a lot of people at the same time, but it is worth the wait, and while you wait take a good look around every corner you will find things you don’t even know what they are for.

Mora is a store with smaller professional kitchen materials, such as: molds, spatulas, scrapers, scales, among others. And she also has American materials and products for housewives, like Wilton materials. It has everything, cupcake molds, molds for American paste, pens for coloring food, supports for individual sweets, dyes, that is, the sky is the limit for having fun in this store. Just be careful not to get stressed with the salespeople, they are not the friendliest, or rather, there is one (but only one) who is a sweetheart, but I don’t know his name ?

These two stores are very close to each other and are very similar. They have professional and semi-professional equipment of all types: pans, metal and silicone molds, knives, processors, plates, bowls, a huge variety of things. But I always stop by E. Dehillerin first to see if I don’t have what I need there first, because these two are a little more expensive!
