There’s nothing better than waking up and having the first meal of the day delicious, right? When I’m at home, I confess that I feel a little too lazy to prepare a super breakfast. For this reason, whenever I travel I take the opportunity to eat in different places and try new dishes.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve already seen that I’m going to spend a few days in Los Angeles. As I like to travel knowing the names of some places to eat, I made a list with the most recommended breakfasts there. I will share with you my favorites 😉
Gratitude for Coffee

In addition to being highly praised for breakfast, the atmosphere at Cafe Gratitude is charming. Their food is really delicious, with very well served portions. The menu is very varied, with options of bowls with fruits, salad or traditional toast with something on top, like a poached egg.
It also works as a restaurant, so it’s a good option if you want a quick and healthy snack. Vegetarians and vegans are also welcome – most of the dishes do not contain meat or animal products!
Breakfast by Salt’s Cure

Breakfast by Salt’s Cure is a relatively small and super modern space. As they specialize only in breakfast, the place is only open between eight in the morning and three in the afternoon. Still, it can be an alternative to brunch, as the breakfast service extends until part of the afternoon. Pancakes are the star of the house, but be sure to also order sandwiches and a plate of scrambled eggs.
Paramount Coffee Project

Another super cool place that deserves at least one visit is the Paramount Coffee Project. His atmosphere is super original and the menu is also creative, with different types of toast, salads, types of eggs and sandwiches.
They have different types of coffees, always looking to explore the roasting styles. Ah, they work with beans from different parts of the world, so you will have the opportunity to try different styles of coffee!
Coffee Ripper

A warm coffee and toast with cheese and tomatoes will always go well, right? If you want to have a California / Australian style snack, stop by Little Ripper Coffee! The options are simpler and without many innovative combinations, but everything is delicious – fresh and full of flavor. It is a little away from the city center, but it is worth visiting the place because the food is really delicious gostosa
Jewelery

Jewel is one of the most amazing restaurants on that list. They have recently opened and have an entirely vegan menu, based on fruits, vegetables and seasonal vegetables. In addition, their proposal is for a healthy meal. On the website, for example, they claim that refined sugar, processed ingredients and processed products are not welcome there.
It is located in the Silverlake region, which is a super interesting part for those who enjoy outdoor activities. It’s worth trying their breakfast, even if you’re not a vegetarian or vegan. The dishes are colorful and make your mouth water by appearance, you know?
Cliff’s Edge

Paulo and I always ended up waking up a few days later on our trip, so we always look for places that have brunch. Several options on the menu are accompanied by some type of meat, so you will have to ask for some changes if you want to get that specific dish.
Benedictine eggs, for example, come with hollandaise sauce and pieces of smoked pork. In that case, you can ask them to take out the pork and serve only the egg! For you to see the other menu options, just click here.
The Tasting Kitchen

Like Cliff’s Edge, The Tasting Kitchen offers a special brunch menu. The menu changes daily, so you will always find something new there. In addition to delicious options, the restaurant’s atmosphere is wonderful. The decoration with trees, plants and bricks makes the atmosphere super pleasant. The location is also great, close to Venice Beach 🙂
Sqirl

Sqirl is a super trendy and cozy place. It is very small, so it is always full, especially as busy as it is. Toast is the star of breakfast. The portion served by them is huge and the layers of coverage are super generous.
An interesting thing there is that they work with some seasonal products. That is, you can choose a jam with different ingredients, such as blueberry and hibiscus! Vegetarians and vegans also find special alternatives, like the vegan version of pesto rice with kale and radish instead of poached egg and feta.
Superba Food + Bread

Located in Venice, Superba Food + Bread is undoubtedly one of the best cafes in the region. They have a menu for both breakfast and brunch, with a wide variety of dishes. To give you an idea, they offer eggs in 8 different ways.
The famous avocado toast is also on the menu. Another toast option is Kale Toast, topped with avocado, eggs, braised cabbage and pepper oil. Because they have very varied options, it will be difficult for you to find nothing that pleases you.
