Zurich’s Best Boutique Hotels

Zurich's Best Boutique Hotels

Switzerland was one of the countries that most surprised us positively. The natural beauty of the city is fascinating and we were amazed at the organization of the places we knew. The operation of everything seemed to be perfect, you know? From public transport to street cleaning!
Paulo and I visited several cities in the country, but one of the most visited is undoubtedly Zurich. It is really amazing and a great starting point for those who want to get to know other regions of Switzerland. Since the city is always among the main destinations in the country, it is important to know where to stay there, right?

Marktgasse Hotel

The hotel that welcomed us in Zurich was the Marktgasse Hotel. It has a super minimalist decor, with few colorful details and that bring a touch of personality to the environment. In the case of the room we stayed in, it was entirely white and the chair was one of the few things with color.
One of his problems is with the double bed – they put two single beds together to form it. Despite this, we found the room very comfortable and the location was also great. It is a good option for those looking for simplicity and comfort 😉

With a more youthful atmosphere, the 25hours Hotel Zürich Langstrasse is perfect for those who enjoy cooler environments. It is a little away from the city center, but it is still a region full of great restaurants and bars.
The rooms also have a cooler footprint! The decor is very fun, with a mixture of pillows with phrases, hanging lights and other colorful objects. One of the most interesting things about this place is that they accept other forms of payment besides cash. You can send an article of your art and see if they accept it as payment! Having only 60 rooms, B2 Boutique Hotel + Spa is one of the most sought after hotels in the city. It occupies an old industrial building in the city, but the whole more rustic structure has been replaced by more elegant and contemporary decorations.
Like the Marktgasse Hotel, the rooms follow a more minimalist line, with a neutral color palette and simpler furniture. The common areas of the hotel have a more elaborate decoration and are their strong point. The outdoor pool and spa are, of course, the favorite places for guests.

The setting of the Widder Hotel is a mix of classic touches with more modern details, you know? It is a super different design that shows the originality of boutique hotels. Each room is different from each other, which makes the experience even more unique. After all, you are in a space unlike any other in the hotel.
Another good news is that it is in the city center, so it is very well located. If you are the type who values this a lot, this is one of the best hotels on the list in this regard. Ah, the hotel restaurant, Zur Schtund, is highly praised by locals, so be sure to try some Swiss dish from their menu 🙂

Known for being a traditional hotel in the city, the Baur au Lac is always among the most popular hotels in Zurich. It has existed for more than 170 years, so it is very well known famous for the region. The atmosphere of all environments is more refined and the design is very classic!
They also have two incredible restaurants, both run by highly recognized chefs. As we are not always in the mood to stay until dusk on the street, it is great to know that there are good restaurant options in the hotel, right?

The Placid Hotel Zurich is relatively new in the city, but people who have stayed at it are full of praise. The hotel is super modern and the region where it is located is very quiet, perfect for those who want to stay in a quieter environment and a little further away from the city center.
The walls of the rooms are all concrete, bringing a more rustic touch in contrast to the more delicate furniture. The city view accommodations are incredible. If you plan to stay in this hotel, I find it interesting to choose a room with a view, because it is very worth it!
